Ideally 4 to 6 weeks before travel. If you are leaving sooner, book anyway — useful protection or advice may still be possible.

03Are all travel vaccines free on the NHS?
No. Some travel vaccines may be available through the NHS, while others are usually private. We will explain any charges before treatment.
