Answers and pharmacy guidance

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about prescriptions, delivery, pharmacy services and getting support.

01Returning unwanted medication

Because we provide distance-selling pharmacy services, medicines cannot be returned at the premises. You can take unwanted medicine to a local community pharmacy, or call us first so our team can arrange the safest return route.

02NHS prescription charge exemptions

People under 16 or over 60 are normally identified automatically. For other exemptions, we may ask for the certificate type, number and expiry date when your prescription is received.

Check your eligibility or explore a prescription prepayment certificate through the NHS Business Services Authority.

03Getting an emergency supply

If you run out of regular medicine and cannot reach your GP, call the pharmacy. A pharmacist will assess whether an emergency supply is appropriate or direct you to another service. Outside opening hours, contact NHS 111.

04How our distance-selling pharmacy works

Essential pharmacy services are provided remotely by phone, online consultation, delivery or post. The pharmacy premises are not open for collecting dispensed medicine or returning unwanted medicine.

Our pharmacy and pharmacists are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

05Annual patient survey

We invite patients to complete a service survey once a year. Feedback helps the pharmacy improve its services and patient experience.

06Medicine information leaflets

Your medicine normally includes a patient information leaflet. If it is missing, contact us or search the electronic Medicines Compendium for the current leaflet.

07NHS and private pharmacy services

We provide NHS dispensing, repeat-dispensing support, advice about medicines and minor ailments, signposting and health-promotion services. Private services include travel health, vaccinations and other bookable consultations.

08Delivery, returns and refunds

Medicines are sent in discreet packaging using tracked Royal Mail services. Prescription and over-the-counter medicines cannot be returned for resale or refunded after dispatch for safety reasons.

Non-medicinal products may have separate cancellation rights. Contact the pharmacy before returning anything so the team can advise you correctly.
